Carolyn, please speak to Kim Shia, she will definitely help you with your budgetting (you can meet up with her for an initial consultation). If I remember correctly, the price per table was starting from RM1600++, depending on the no. of table, menu and the extras for your wedding package, etc. Our package was customised to our needs, so it wasn't a standardised thingy. When you do visit your venue, ask for the contract (terms & conditions), it should state the minimum cost for the room you want to hire, if not there will be a hiring fee, etc. This should be able to give you a good indication on how much you would need, to have your wedding there. Hope you find this helpful. :)

I just recall, Westin does have a smaller room, windows facing the Pavillion, but it has kind of an awkward shape. The wedding packages offered in many hotels can always tailor to your needs though. Eg. if the venue that you really like has a min of 120ppl, and you only intending to have 100ppl, you can upgrade your menu or maybe scrap the ice sculpture and wedding favours, etc.

BB, If you are looking around KL area and a hotel is the sort of venue you are looking for....
KL Hilton has a junior ballroom (as suggested by Alice). Shangrila Hotel also has a smaller room for a minimum 120 people. If I'm not mistaken, Mandarin Hotel has smaller function rooms on the ground floor with a separate foyer/entrance for guests. Alternatively, it would be restaurants in hotel or around KL city (that serve chinese or non-chinese cuisine).

Hope this help!

I also had same problem because we wanted a smaller more intimate wedding just for close family and we ended up at the Hilton.... they have smaller rooms for 50-150. Everywhere else needs a minimum 250 guests / 25 tables.
