Sereni & Shentel are back again!
19 Jul
‘Find the hen a veil!’, my bossy friend said. Everyone else had more pressing duties in organising the hen weekend. I had the one task and I was determined to get it right! My instructions were: nothing tacky or lacy, just simple and elegant. Oh, and can it be in the bride’s favourite colour, teal please!

I recalled Sereni & Shentel’s bridal accessories which have been previously featured on WGA. Their collection are timelessly chic and elegant, all wrapped up in one big bow. Each piece is laboriously put together and lovingly hand-stitched. They only use high quality grosgrain ribbons and have at least 29 different colours for their rhinestones alone. Perfect, I thought!

Kiss me please, bride-to-be
The very popular Kiss me please, bride-to-be veil is made of layers of tulle attached to a headband adorned with creamy pearl satin finished off with a very stylish bow. What I liked best was the ‘bespoke’ service they offer. I contacted the duo, asking:
Can I have it in teal? Yes…
Can you add extra layers on the bows? Yes…
Can I have pearls on the veil as well? Yes of course!
Can you promise my hair will never be frizzy? Unfortunately, the pair had to say no, but they did recommend their other hairbands that would be a definite head-turner!
Below is an example of how a bespoke headband comes to be:

Ideas, ideas, ideas! Firstly, it’s pen to paper…
And voila! Another original creation for the original bride!

For brides who feel that a veil is too traditional, have a look at their Mafia Mama in cream which is so chic it would make Carrie Bradshaw proud. The girls also offer a bridal consultation service to help you customise any hairpiece. Email them and they will assist you step by step from designing to personalising a one-of-a-kind hair accessory.

Ice Ice
To complete your bridesmaids’ dresses, have a look at their new-edition pastel coloured Ice Ice. Don’t worry if the shades don’t match your wedding theme. Sereni & Shentel have at least 53 colour palettes and will help you match the headbands to complement any outfit.
Last words;
Few clicks on the laptop later, my shopping basket says: 1 bride-to-be veil, 1 New Money & 2 Blairs. I couldn’t resist their other yummy-licious headbands for myself. Come Monday morning when the husband discovers a big parcel on our doorstep, my excuse would be: ‘4 weddings to attend in September (including Elaine’s), it’s chic-economics to buy 4 different headbands compared to 4 different outfits, no?’
Now I wonder if Sereni & Shentel would also make me a Bow-down in bubble-gum pink that will go with my candy-floss shoes.
To the two stylish S&S: Coco Chanel once said, ‘If you don’t have the right accessories don’t accessorise at all!’
