You know it’s that time of the year again, when everywhere you go, you hear the same ol’ melody, “Gong xi gong xi gong xi ni!” Yes, just in case you’re living in the cave or needed some reminding, Chinese New Year is just around the corner. Personally, I’m a big fan of CNY (being half-chinese may have something to do with it), because what other holiday can you think of where eating, drinking & gambling is a must!

Anyways, besides the typical CNY festivities, did you know that a lot of weddings are held around this time as well? Just in time for Chinese New Year! I love the Fish Pendant which you can choose in either rose gold, yellow or white gold. Why fish? According to the More Than Diamonds blog, “the character 余 ’yu’ which means surplus or abundance sounds exactly like the character 鱼 ‘yu’ which means fish. Hence, the fish is often used as a symbol of abundance and is meant to give a good start to the new year.”
