Madonna & Marc Jacobs both use Dr. Brandt products
I don’t know about you. But if it’s good enough for the material girl aka Madonna, then it must be good! With fans such as Mad and Marc Jacobs, Dr. Brandt skincare (named after the man himself), has been making headlines all over. In a recent interview conducted by supermodel Stephanie Seymour and Jane Holzer, even they ooh and aah that he “has gone from being a best-kept secret to an international phenomenon.” A renowned plastic surgeon with a clientele of the creme de la creme, it’s no surprise that Brandt is “impossible to get an appointment with”.
But for the rest of us who don’t have the dollars and time to personally see Dr. Brandt, he’s decided to come to us by launching his own skincare line so everyone can look celebrity fab.
And now, for the first time ever, Dr. Brandt has launched in Malaysia! Already available at the new Empire Mall in Subang, a standalone Dr. Brandt store will soon be opened at Bangsar Shopping Centre come end of September. Since I know all you brides (and bridesmaids etc!) are concerned about your skin for the big day, here’s our little Q&A with the brand.
With so many skincare brands around, us girls are spoilt for choice. Why Dr. Brandt?
True, there’s much to choose from but are you choosing the right one? In the last decade, we’ve seen more doctor-based brands become very popular with consumers – and why not? At the end of the day, it’s these qualified doctors who truly understand what works on your skin and not fashion designers or models.
You really don’t get any more credible or revered than Dr. Brandt. He sits on the board of the FDA (Food and Drug Administration in the States), and is a practicing dermatologist with a great reputation. With the wonders he does for his clients, it’s no wonder that his skincare line is making waves.
Madonna and Marc are both fans. What products do they use?
Madonna uses the Lineless Eye Cream and Time Arrest Creme. Marc Jacobs uses Time Arrest Eye Serum and Time Arrest Face Fluid.
M & M aside – what are your other star products?
In Malaysia, we have a great demand for Pores No More Pores Refiner; Pores Refiner minimizes the appearance of pores, mattifying skin and at the same time providing anti-bacterial benefits to prevent future breakouts.

Dr. Brandt looks like a man who practises what he preaches! What is he like?
Dr. Brandt is known as the person behind Madonna’s face. He also wrote two books, Ageless and 10 minutes 10 years. If one follows strictly what suggestions he has recommended in the books, one will be guaranteed to have ageless skin. He has two clinics in USA, one in NYC and the other one in Miami where he treats up to 40 patients a day.
For the bride-to-be, any products for the big day?
I would strongly recommend Pores No More Pores Refiner to prime the face for an impeccable effect. At the same, apply Crease Release or Lines No More if any first sign of wrinkles are detected. Mask the face (for oily and combination skin types) with Pores No More Vacuum Cleaner to rid yourself of whiteheads and blackheads.
