Gorgeous Gowns With Designer Bridal Room

| by

Everyone loves an event invite, but here at WGA we especially love when it comes from a bridal boutique like Designer Bridal Room in Malaysia. Recently DBR held an exclusive event to celebrate their 3rd anniversary and the opening of their new boutique in one of Kuala Lumpur’s top malls, Pavillion. With over 100 styles of wedding gowns from notable designers like Pronovias, Manuel Mota, Rosa Clará , Elie by Elie Saab (pictured above), Reem Acra, Christian Lacroix and so on, DBR really is a one-stop shop for the bride who wants to walk down the aisle in style. As your humble wedding team with an appreciation for fashion (and luxe bridal gowns!), we’ve picked out some of our favourites from the DBR catalogue and show that day. Enjoy x

From the catalogue:

Pronovias
Leading Spanish designer, Pronovias is a pioneer of pret-a-porter bridal gowns, with designs that range from contemporary chic to haute couture. It’s interesting to note that our very own WGA contributor Elaine Ho chose a Pronovias gown for her wedding last September!

annasul Y
We know that most brides love the vintage look and with annasul Y, where it’s all about being young-at-heart with a touch of retro 20′s glam.

Christian Lacroix
My personal favourite! Christian Lacroix delivers his signature look of refined elegance with simple detailing that makes this gown picture perfect.

Rosa Clará
Sensual, soft and pretty, every bride is unique in Rosa Clará. With intricate beading and detailing, her designs are noted for their gorgeous fabrics and  flattering silhouettes.

From the fashion preview:

Step into the Designer Bridal Room and you’ll find an understated elegance about the boutique. Much the same, the fashion preview was sophisticated and open to select media and guests. The Lusan Mandongus gowns above were definitely a highlight. I heart the shocking pink because I think a bride should never be boring and the cheongsam inspired gown is simply classic and never fails to make one’s figure look good!

Left: NY-based Reem Acra has designed red carpet gowns for the likes of Halle Berry and when it comes to bridal gowns she fuses her Lebanese & European style to create dresses that epitomise glamour. Any guess which recent bride wore Reem Acra on her big day? Leann Rimes!

Right: Manuel Mota is for fashionista bride who isn’t afraid of daring to be different. We like the trail and use of tulle (which is very “in” since Kate Middleton’s royal do!)
