It was God who brought them together. Vijay and Stefanie first met in Multimedia University Christian Fellowship way back in 2003. They started dating two years later, and in December 2010, Vijay popped the question.
Not many people realised how big a step it really was for the couple. Get this: At the time, they had only RM1000 in their bank account – probably a twentieth (at the very least) of the average wedding cost in Malaysia.
Remarkably, the couple remained unquestionably strong in their beliefs. They had complete faith that the Lord would provide for them and make their task easy. As tight as money was, they even maintained their regular tithes to church while trying to save up for the wedding.
Finally, their prayers were answered when Stefanie landed a new (and much better paying) job, and Vijay found himself achieving every single sale he took on.
It was a miracle – and before they knew it, they were at the altar, saying “I do.”
Needless to say, it was a truly emotional ceremony. This shot of the groom with tears streaming down his face is simply beautiful.
