Paula Taylor On Babies And Such…

Introducing baby Lyla

WGA has always been lucky to have an insider’s peek into the life of Thailand’s superstar, the extremely gorgeous and likeable Paula Taylor. When we first interviewed her, she was Miss Paula Taylor - the successful model, VJ and actress. Then all of Asia’s heart melted as we watched her wed the love of her life and finally become Mrs Paula Taylor-Buttery.

A few years on, more in love than ever, Paula & Ed’s kismet fairy-tale is joined by a baby girl, the very adorable Lyla. Here’s what Paula has to say about marriage, babies and how she’s never learnt to pack lightly!

Happy family

Life right now…

I’ve moved my family to Singapore where my husband’s job now is. We love it here; life is greener and cleaner – great for the family!

I do miss Thailand but luckily it is only 2.5 hours’ flight away. I am blessed to be able to share the best of both worlds with baby Lyla.

Home is where the heart is. I travel so much that I actually crave staying in one place, but I don’t see that happening any time soon.

Being a mommy!

Being a mommy…

I enjoy being a mommy, Baby Lyla is everything to me. She definitely puts a new perspective on life.

The best advice given to me before having Lyla was to always pack lightly – this, I assure you have never happened!

The best tip I have learnt AFTER having Lyla is to bring everything. Packing lightly is a thing of the past, an urban myth.

Being a mom doesn’t mean you should forget about being you. You should always look after yourself, number one, then only will you have the confidence and energy to conquer the world.

(WGA note: We don’t call her yummy-mummy for nothing!)

All work and play

Staying busy…

I am a mommy first and foremost but I am still acting, modelling, blogging and travelling way too much.

I started my blog because I wanted to share new and exciting baby finds that I’ve discovered. It is a great way to let others know what works, what doesn’t and also share those happy moments and times when I get frustrated.

I hope my blog will entertain and help those new and not-so-new mums out there.

(WGA note: We have been faithfully following Paula’s blog (even though none of us have any babies yet!) to ogle at her adorable photos of baby Lyla. Paula tries to keep it fresh for all her readers with a mix of different posts and we especially loved her own recipe for the most sumptuous oatmeal choc chip cookies!)

Wedding changes everything and nothing

Weddings and such…

I have been married now for almost 2 years. Don’t believe it when they say that marriage changes everything. It does in some ways… but it’s such a great feeling and it’s worth it everytime!

My weddings (yes, she had 3 celebrations!) were special to me and the best part is being able to gather the people you love all in one place. Everyone is so busy now that you need a grand title of an occasion (WEDDING) to get everyone together.

My advice to brides-to-be is to keep an open mind. All those pictures you see on the internet and magazine clippings will never feel the same as trying something on. I started my search with a particular style of dress in mind and ended up with something completely different.

My wedding dress is now hanging in my closet waiting for Lyla to wear on her special day, but in the meantime she can play dress-up with it. (Daddy says no boyfriend till she’s 30 – so it’ll be a while :) )
